Since our final goal is to demonstrate the validity of concept of the novel photovoltaics, it is not enough to only show performances of cells with respective structures. Instead we should go forward along Plan-Do-Check-Action, or PDCA, spirals for establishing rules governing relations between performances and parameters of structures that we propose, or scaling rules, and finally demonstrating that performances of such novel devices are to be precisely forecast, i.e., a priori designed. Our research is essentially steps for consolidating standard wafer-process and packaging technologies into heterogeneously-integrated styles. We believe that in this sense achievements in our research should be likely to be deployed to other kinds of semiconductor devices and systems than photovoltaics and to bring about breakthroughs in the entire area of semiconductor industries.
